Ubuntu in VPS Servers
Ubuntu is available with all our Linux VPS servers and you can buy a VPS running it in just 1 hour. 32-bit and 64-bit versions of the OS are available, so you are able to select the one that you need if the software that you want to run on your server has specific system requirements regarding this. You may also select whether your Ubuntu-powered VPS should be installed without a Control Panel, in which case you'll have full root access and you can install anything using a console; or if the Hepsia Control Panel should be installed on it, in which case you will have an online interface and all the necessary web server, MySQL, FTP, mail server, etc. software will be pre-installed. The root access in the second case will be more restricted, but such a installation is more efficient for users with less experience. We can also maintain your Ubuntu up-to-date on a regular basis if you add the Managed Services upgrade. You will be able to do so throughout the VPS order process or at any later time through your billing Control Panel.
Ubuntu in Dedicated Servers
You're able to acquire Ubuntu with our dedicated server plans, since we offer 32-bit and 64-bit versions of this OS. This way, you are able to choose the more appropriate of these two, based on the type of applications that you need to install and run and on the system requirements they have about the Operating System. You will have root-level access to the server, which gives you full control of the software environment. We'll set up only the Apache web server software, which means that you are able to add anything else you may need, even if it is not related directly to websites, such as a VOIP server, for instance. You can manage everything from a console, yet if you would like, you may also install a web hosting Control Panel, provided that it is compatible with Ubuntu. In case you order our optional Managed Services bundle, we'll keep your Operating System up-to-date on a weekly basis and will make sure that you have the most recent software packages for a stable and secure server environment.
